Richard (Rick) Charles Pilon
June 5, 1951 – October 30, 2023
Rick passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family after a 4 year battle with cancer. He was well known as a commercial fisherman on Lake Huron for over 40 years from Erieau to Southampton, Ontario as captain and owner of the Benjamin Charles fish tug. Richard leaves behind his love and best friend, Ann Broughton, his children Raegan (Jason), Robyn and Ben (Vallee), Ann’s son Brad (Chelsea), grandchildren Hunter (Marrissa), Jack, Sonny, Chloe, Parker, Carson and Odin, great granddaughter Aria and his mother Shirley Vera Pilon (Burke). He also leaves behind his beloved parrot Toots. Predeceased by his father Charles (Sonny) Frederick Pilon.
The family would like to extend our thanks to Dr. Chapman, Dr. Bock and SouthWest Care Partners for the extraordinary help in keeping Rick at home with his loved ones.
There will be no memorial service at his request.
