Harry George Walker passed away peacefully on July 22, 2024 in the Hanover Hospital. Affectionately known as “Hard Hat”, Harry lived his whole life in Neustadt.  Survived by his devoted wife Debra and his children Natalie Weppler (Neil), Wayne Walker (Jennifer) and Krista Walker.  Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Monika and Scott Weppler, Riley and Jessica Walker.  Dear brother to Marie Gebhardt, Norman Walker, Robert Walker and the late John Walker. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews.

Harry will always be known as a hard, dedicated worker. He worked at Wittich/Weston Bakeries for more than 30 years. He then opened a chip wagon in his hometown of Neustadt and later followed with a family restaurant “Hats off to Harry’s”. He took great pride in his work and passed his work ethic on to his kids.  Sports were a great enjoyment to Harry as he played broomball, hockey and baseball. He even enjoyed coaching sports. Harry’s greatest love was of hunting and fishing and spending time with his family.  A Celebration of Life will be held on August 10th from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Neustadt Community Centre.  Donations to the Alzheimer Society or Chapman House will be greatly appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, greybrucecremation.com.
