Allan Cochrane

Allan Douglas Cochrane, 71, of Owen Sound, passed away peacefully at Brightshores Health System in Owen Sound on September 19, 2024 after complications from his Parkinson’s Disease. Allan was born October 6, 1952 in Owen Sound to Marjorie Myrle (Petch) and the late James William Cochrane. Allan was the proud father of Matthew Cochrane, James Grant Cochrane (Mischa), Shannon Gardner (Mick) Allison Christensen and Joanne Cochrane (Ted). He was an even more proud grandfather of Molly, Garrett, Carter, Blake, Keona, Kai, Kaeden, Ryen and Blythe. Predeceased by his sister Catherine Anne Moyse and his grandson Lukah. He will be fondly remembered for dad jokes, his love of cheering for the underdog team, the NY Giants and his love for fishing. His favorite days will always be those he spent on lakes and rivers with his sons and grandsons. Celebration of Life will be held at the Bayshore Community Centre, Shore Room #1 on Sunday, October 6th from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Parkinson Canada www.parkinson.ca or to the Church of Christ, Owen Sound www.owensoundcofc.com.
