Colette was born in Kapuskasing and raised in London where she attended Westminster High School. Colette worked for CN Railway for 30 plus years. She retired to Stokes Bay and later to Owen Sound where she joined clubs and made friends. She loved to be involved. She helped organize and participated in the Stokes Bay Summerfest for years and attended the Rotary pancake breakfast in Lion’s Head when she could. She was a member of the Tara Legion 383 and loved to attend their dinners and breakfasts and helped when she could. She loved to dress up her house and herself on Christmas and Halloween with flashing lights, festive necklaces and earrings and she loved to get all dressed up to attend the Witches Stomp in Owen Sound. She loved any kind of parade. Colette spent several winters in Barra de Navidad Mexico, and would have lived there year round if she could. Barra truly was her happy place.

There will be no funeral. A celebration of life will be held in the spring. Memorial donations in her name can be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 383, Tara or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Condolences may be sent to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, greybrucecremation.com.
