Jody MacAloney

The world just got a little bit emptier today. Jody MacAloney passed away peacefully at Brightshores Hospital in Owen Sound on March 27, 2025 at the age of 52.

Jody was born in Scarborough on January 28, 1973. Moving to this area at a young age growing up around Chesley area.

Jody was known for having the biggest heart when it came to his grandson Wayne who meant the world to him. He was always laughing and smiling. Jody was an avid fisherman and loved nature. He enjoyed camping, hiking, kayaking, farming and most of all playing with his grandson. Jody met a lot of friends playing darts, cards and horseshoes. Jody was a hard working guy who enjoyed his time whether on the farm, repairing hot tubs or just being with the people he worked with at the Mill. Jody was always there to lend a helping hand. Whether it was cutting the neighbours grass, snow blowing or just having words of wisdom for projects. He loved to help people.

Jody is survived by his best friend Annette McLaren, step-son Corry (Jessie), grandson Wayne and niece Natasha. Lovingly remembered by brothers Jamie, Jason and family. Predeceased by mother Betty and brother Jeff MacAloney.

At Jody’s request he has selflessly donated organs to help others.  Cremation has taken place.

He will be sadly missed by family, friends and all who knew him. (I will miss you Papa. Wayne)
