Caroline (Carol) Farrell

Carol Farrell passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025, in her 85th year, at Lee Manor in Owen Sound. Beloved wife of Bob for 63 years, Carol was the proud mother of Joanne Threndyle (Ken), Colleen Saker (Todd), and Matt Farrell (Janet), and a loving sister to Ben and Joe. She was a devoted granny to Marcus, Ryan, Macy, Morgan, Amelia, and Ella. Family pets Vespa and Murphy also highly regarded Carol–likely due to her excessive treat distribution. Born in Windsor, Ontario, Carol moved with Bob to Port Elgin in 1968 to raise their family. In 2019, they moved to Owen Sound. Carol was active in the community, volunteering with the Girl Guides, Special Olympics, and Community Living in Port Elgin. She also worked as an educational assistant at Saugeen District Secondary School, a role she truly enjoyed. She cared deeply for her family and especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her. The family is sincerely grateful to the staff on One South at Lee Manor for their kind and compassionate care and to her oncology team at Brightshores for their dedicated support throughout her illness. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Grey Bruce Hospice Foundation or the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter.
