Captain John Guest
John “Jack†Noble Guest of Kincardine passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on June 5th, 2016. Best friend and beloved husband of Jane Guest (nee Edmiston) for 56 years. Loving father of Dr. Sean Guest (Janet Morris) and Adrienne Guest (Joseph Trohak). Gramps to Sam and Connor Guest. Predeceased by his parents Noble and Lillian Guest and siblings Ruth, Harold, Edgar and Mabel. He will be missed by his inlaws Ellen and Duncan McFadyen, Mary Guest, Louis Guest and his nieces and nephews. After leaving Kincardine High School, Jack joined the Royal Canadian Air Force. In 1961, Jack and Jane moved to Ireland where he was a pilot with Aer Lingus for 4 years. On returning to Canada he flew for Air Canada until his retirement in 1993. A celebration of his life will be held at the Church of the Messiah in Kincardine at 2:00 p.m. on June 30th, 2016. The family will be available from 1:00 p.m. for visitation and a reception will follow at the parish hall. The family would like to thank CCAC and the Care Partners Team who helped fulfill Jack’s wishes of remaining in his home until his passing.
