On Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the age of 82, George Arthur Hudson was called home to be with his Lord and Saviour, passing peacefully at Hanover and District Hospital with his beloved wife, Wilma, of almost 60 years by his side.

George leaves behind a legacy of faith and love in his children: Paul and Jennifer Hudson of Walkerton; Randy Hudson of Oakville; and Monica and Med (or Liduino) Medeiros of Hanover. His absence will be deeply felt by his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Noah, Hannah, Elowynne and Levi Hudson of Walkerton; Jonah and Hannah Hudson of Prague, Czech Republic; Sarah, Dylan, Walter and Emmett Wade of Norwood; Bishop Hudson of Oakville; Sienna and Janosch Pentney of Kitchener-Waterloo; Daniel and Atticus Medeiros of Hanover.

George served the Lord faithfully throughout his life. Though he worked for many years as a Professional Truck Driver, he considered his greatest calling to be sharing the love of Christ wherever he went. He filled his home and community with stories of God’s goodness and His faithfulness on the road.

A devoted servant in his church, George spent countless years driving the Sunday School bus, ushering, and serving as a deacon on the church board. He greeted everyone with a firm handshake, a warm smile, and a twinkle in his beautiful grey-blue eyes—always ready to speak of the hope he had in Jesus.

For those who share George’s faith, this is not goodbye. We rejoice in knowing that he is now in the presence of the Lord, and we hold fast to the promise that we will see him again.

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and the entire care team at Hanover and District Hospital and the Hanover Medical Clinic for their compassion, support, and professionalism throughout the years and especially during this past month.

As per George’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life and faith will be held at Hope Community Church in Hanover on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with a light lunch to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in support of grandchildren Jonah and Hannah Hudson as they serve as missionaries in the Czech Republic (https://teachbeyond.org/support/hudsons), as well as to Mission Zimbabwe at mzoutreach24@gmail.com, ministries close to George’s heart.

All arrangements and condolences are entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, greybrucecremation.com.
