William “Bill” Earnest
It is with deep sadness that the family of “Bill” William John Earnest announce his sudden passing on May 21st, 2026, at the age of 75. Bill was predeceased by his parents, “Jim” James and Muriel Earnest. He leaves behind his beloved son Jason Earnest, daughter-in-law Brandy Earnest, and grandson Adam Locker-Earnest. He also leaves behind his former spouse, Margaret Graham (nee Allen), who remained an important part of his life story. Known throughout the neighbourhood for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to lend a hand, Bill was truly the kind of neighbour everyone hoped to have. Bill dedicated his entire working career to PPG Industries, where he worked from his high school years until the plant closed. The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at the Owen Sound hospital and the team at Chapman House Hospice, even though the stay was brief. Bill will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. As per Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In place of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory may be made to Chapman House Hospice. Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, greybrucecremation.com.
