Laurine “Dean” Weppler

It is with deep sadness that the family of Myrtle Laurine “Dean” Weppler announce her passing at Lee Manor, Owen Sound, on Sunday August 16, 2026 at the age of 87.

She is survived by her children, Debra Weppler-Wardrop (Len) of Tara, Lynda Morrison (Glen) of Owen Sound, Stephen Weppler (Kim), of Owen Sound, and Michael Weppler of St Catharines.  She was the proud Nana of 7 grandchildren, their spouses, and their children.  Dean will be missed by her sisters Doris Marriott and Jane Middleton.

Dean was predeceased by her loving husband of 46 years, Roy, in 2001.  Also predeceased by her parents, Myrtle Wilson and Roy Girdler, her brothers Stewart McCartney and Ken Girdler, and her sister, Joyce Acton.  She will now be reunited with her beloved canine, Bandit.

Cremation has taken place.  As per her wishes, there will be no funeral.  A private family graveside service will take place at a later date.
