Gary “Curby” Currie
Passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener on Monday, September 12, 2016. Gary Currie of Port Elgin, at the age of 69. Loving husband of Barb for 49 years. Dear father of Shawn of Guelph, Wayne and Mark, both of Port Elgin. Papa of Robert, Justyn, Tori, Austin, Stephanie and Shelby. Great papa of Kaiden, Addison, Oliver, Emma and Brody. Brother of Betty Weiss of Southampton, Isabel Cutting of Owen Sound and Lorne (Barb) Currie of Port Elgin. For many years, Gary was a volunteer firefighter with the Port Elgin Fire Department and was a public works employee with the Town of Port Elgin. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Gary’s Life will be held at the Living Hope Christian Centre, 515 Goderich Street, Port Elgin on Monday, September 19th at 11 a.m. Visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service.
