July 19, 1944 – September 28, 2026

Barbara Helen Millman (Winch) passed away peacefully on Monday, September 28, 2026, with her daughter Sherry by her side.

Barb was full of life, laughter, fun, and adventure. She loved to dance, play baseball, and spent many years bowling in a league. She enjoyed doing ceramics, gaming with her horse and making memories with the people she loved. Her greatest passion, however, was horses. Barb loved everything about them and especially treasured her horse Lady going on weekend-long trail riding camping adventures. There was a special happiness that came from being on horseback, surrounded by nature and enjoying the freedom she loved so much.

Above all else, Barb loved her family more than life itself. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who treasured the people she called her own. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her immense joy, and her love for them was unwavering.
She will be deeply missed by her children Jeff Millman (Helen Misener), Scott Millman (Nikki), and Sherry Bakker. Gramma Barb will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her grandchildren Ashley Schmidt, Leslie Millman, Sydney Millman, Shay Millman and their partners, and her great-grandchildren Ainsley, Georgia, Charlie, Wyatt, Violet and Sully. Barb was predeceased by her parents Iva and Harold Winch, grandson Owen Bakker, and sister Judy Nickle.

To her family, Barb was so much more than a mother and grandmother. She was a source of unconditional love, laughter, strength, and comfort. She was the person who knew her family better than anyone and loved them exactly as they were. Her home, her heart, and her life were always open to the people she loved. To her daughter Sherry, Barb was not only her mother, but her best friend and her safe place. Their bond was one that words can never truly describe. She was the person Sherry could always turn to, the one who understood her without needing to be told, and the one who was always there through life’s happiest moments and its hardest days. Having her daughter by her side when she peacefully passed was a final gift in a lifetime filled with love between them.

Barb leaves behind more than memories. She leaves pieces of herself in every person she loved, in every story that will continue to be told, in the laughter she shared, and in the love she gave so freely. Her family will carry that love with them for the rest of their lives.

Mom, you were my best friend, my biggest supporter, and the one person who always understood me. I don’t know how to imagine this life without you in it. I will miss our conversations, our laughter, and simply knowing that you were there. Thank you for loving me, for believing in me, and for being my Mom. I am so grateful I was able to hold onto you and be by your side when you left this world. I will carry you with me every day until we meet again. I love you more than words could ever say.

At Barb’s request, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, greybrucecremation.com.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our Mom, our Gramma, and our friend.
