Margaret Jank
December 26, 2016 marked the passing of an extraordinary Canadian woman who dedicated her life to helping the Yanomami people of the Amazon jungle. Margaret Grace Jank, born April 17, 1939 to Maurice and Betty Glancey, is survived by 2 brothers, 4 children, 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Even after her husband’s death in 1984 Margaret continued to serve tirelessly, bringing health education, the gift of literacy, and Bible translation to the Yanomami. A celebration of her life will be held in the month of May.
