Alvin “Hap” Smith
Passed away peacefully at the Wiarton Hospital on Saturday, June 3, 2017. Hap Smith of Wiarton, in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Helen (née Waite) for 62 years. Dear father of Brad Smith and Kim (Ken) Perry, both of Wiarton. Grandfather of Terra (Jason) Hibma and Ryan Perry. Poppy to Kendra, Logan and Ava McDonald and Kennedy, Trevor and Weston Hibma. Also survived by sister Marie Lemon, sister-in-law Joy (John) Taylor and brother-in-law Bill (Mary) Lang. Predeceased by his brother Allan Smith, great-granddaughter Amy, sister-in-law Wilda Lang and brother-in-law Cy Lemon. Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at Colpoy’s Bay Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Bruce Peninsula Health Services Foundation – Wiarton Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
